Supporting Role - Background

Supporting Role has its roots in the Event Industry. The modern Event Industry is far more diverse than most people realise. The current era of massive shows and hi-tech equipment build on centuries of experience of project management and logistics. The CBI has rated the music industry as the fourth highest foreign currency earner in the country, and the vast majority of all the fantastic event hardware is designed and built here in the UK.

The Event Industry is an immediate industry. When something is needed now, it really does mean NOW. 70,000 fans outside a stadium constitutes not only an immovable deadline and a potential financial disaster for all involved, but also a serious danger if handled badly.

Therefore, there is a level of professionalism not often found in other industries. 'The show must go on' is not just a cliché, but a work ethos, a philosophy.

Supporting Role brings that philosophy and that level of profesionalism into whatever it does. We understand deadlines, we understand time constraints and pressure, and we understand the 'big picture'.

Supporting Role was created to allow companies and individuals to focus on what they do best, while we tackle the mundane details. You are the lead, the star, we provide the Supporting Role.

Laws and institutions are constantly tending to gravitate. Like clocks, they must be occasionally cleaned, and wound up, and set to true time.
